The interview was initially not about MusicCloth but a book written by Chuan
UFM100.3 radio DJ Wenhong and rehyphen MusicCloth

The first media that interview rehyphen was a radio station called UFM100.3. This radio station is a Chinese-language radio station of SPH Media based in Singapore, with emphasis on Mandarin songs from the 2000s onward as well as lifestyle programmes. Initially, the interview was not about MusicCloth but a book that our founder JJ Chuan wrote in New York named "Wish you were here" before she left New York and back to Singapore. This book were published by Jackson McNally, a bookstore in SOHO New York. It captured Chuan's life in New York City with her daily New York street photograph and short phrases written by her.

Chuan gave her book to her mother as a Mother's day gift. And her mother sent her book to one of the radio DJ of UFM100.3 secretly without notifying her. When Chuan received a call from UFM100.3 DJ , she was surprised and agreed for the live interview at the radio station. Before she went for the interview, she asked if she could bring her MusicCloth design along with her. The interview ended up was focusing on her MusicCloth design and almost totally forgot about her book "Wish you were here". This experience has help her built confidence in launching MusicCloth products, as many of the listeners commented that they have not seen such a design before.

After the interview, she also received other media interview request from the newspaper such as LianHe ZaoBao, Nu You Magazine and more. In addition, some of the listeners also contacted her to donate their cassette tapes for her MusicCloth project.

This interview also leads to a project that UFM100.3 were collaborated with at that time. As a Nirvana ambassador, UFM100.3 DJ Wenhong selected rehyphen's Singapore MusicCloth® art piece as a gift to Nirvana Memorial Garden Singapore on the event named "倒帶看人生,生命向前行".

In addition, our founder JJ Chuan was also invited as an illustrator to contribute her drawing in this meaningful book 《写给天上的你》”Letters to heaven”, which were launched during Singapore Book Fair at Capitol Piazza. The profit of this meaningful project were donated back to Montfort Care, an organization that committed to improve the lives of individuals, families and the community facing transitional challenges.
