An invitation to a Soy source factory that full with music, food and cassette tapes.

Located in Charoenkrung 24 or the so called creative District of Bangkok, Soy Sauce Factory is a creative space that focus on art and design exhibitions from emerging young Artists from all over the world such as Ren Heng and so on. Taken over by a creative agency; 56thStudio in 2018, Soy Sauce Factory is now a combination of design studios, gallery space and pop-up eatery run by several creative parties. We are welcomed by Saran Yen Panyan -- the Creative Director of 56thstudio, which were known as a creative agency focusing on storytelling for Bangkok Biennale.



Our "Ready, Cassette, Go!" were conducted in this Soy source factory with colourful chairs and tables setting. An orchid flower were also displayed on the table to represent us from Singapore. It has a total of 30 guests were coming in to join our workshop and a crew from Thai TV news Channel to capture the moment of our live workshop.



Six MusicCloth art work represented six different values that important to Thai were displayed on both side of the wall which were weaved of pre-loved cassette tapes for Bangkok Biennale.

After our "ready, cassette, go! "workshop ended, we were invited to join in a dinner celebration which were prepared by Samrub for Thai. We were experiencing the creative culinary in "Malee and the Soy Sauce Factory" at the reviving old soy sauce factory in emerging creative area, Charoen Krung. Soy Sauce and its history from China to Thailand had influenced many dishes in Thai cuisine. Soy sauce revolution has started as a seasoning and had been developed to become various kind of products and innovation through Malee's family such as salted soy sauce, sweet soy sauce and salted egg fermented in soy sauce molasses.
