A revolutionary packaging design concept for movie lovers - presented by rehyphen’s box office

With more than a century of history, Dachun was founded in 1923 by a Japanese named Mr. Junichi Inoue. Dachuns marked the start of soap business development in Taiwan, making it one of the most popular brand name. In 1934, Dachun’s founder, Mr. Shui-Tu Lee, created Mizu Maku Co., Ltd. Water and earth, two fundamental elements integral to our environment, are
carried in the connotations of Dachun’s founder Mr. Lee’s first name, Shui-Tu 水土, which means
water and earth, promoting green philosophy of harmonious cohabitation and sustainable development. When Japan left Taiwan in 1950, Mr. Lee inherited Dachuns Soap from the Japanese and continued producing and selling soaps until today.

Rehyphen® received 500 movie tapes donation from United International Pictures back in 2019 for MusicCloth project. These movie tape boxes contain a generation of memories such as film from “Beauty and the Beast”, “”Jurassic Park”, “Home Alone” “Titanic” original movie tapes... The movie tapes has been turned into beautiful MovieCloth® city skyline poster and home decor products. But the movie tapes boxes were still left in rehyphen’s store room... until we came across with Dachun Lee’s descendants — Dawson Lee in 2023. We proposed a revolutionary soap packaging design which aligned with Dachun’s enthusiasm to preserve the environment- the planet we live on.

Gift-giving culture is inherited in Asia. The presentation of the product often weighted in its packaging design. We imitate the shape and design of the retro movie tickets from the 60’s and packed back in its original movie tape casing to bring back your precious memories... This retro Movie ticket soap bar contains Calendula and essences extracted from Orchids with an elegance fragrance. Each box has been sanitised and have a QR code for you to access to our Scan and Listen feature which specially curated by Dachun Soap and rehyphen.

“In rehyphen, we believe music and movie is a universal language that tied people together. It has the power to change the world.
